David Vackar is a head of the Department of Human Dimensions of Global Change. David´s research focuses on anthropogenic drivers of global change, vulnerability and security of ecosystem services, assessment of vulnerability of social-ecological systems under global change and climate adaptation. Among others, David is member of the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management and The Ecosystem Service Partnership (ESP).
David´s work for BASE focuses mainly on conducting the case studies in the Czech Republic as well as particular sectoral assessments of biodiversity and ecosystem services.
